Art Deco style scroll handle vanity tray, circa 1950

£85.00

A vintage scroll handled vanity or dresser tray made in France in around 1950.

It features a clear mirror plate framed in a warm brass border flanked by two cylindrical handles. The sides of the handles are capped with brass concentric discs giving it a subtle neoclassical architectural detail.

Whilst these trays were popular and still amazing to use as vanity trays for fine jewellery or perfume bottles, they also make wonderful decorative coffee table trays.

There is some corrosion to the brass and light foxing to the mirror, as well as a chip to the handle, which has been reflected in the price, but we think its imperfection adds to its charming character.
