Vintage solid brass seashell trinket dish, soap dish or ‘vide poche’.
The dish sits on three little feet and is crafted in the shape of a scallop or clam shell with a beautiful pitted inner texture a ribbed hinge pattern at the base and two elegant polished scrolls at the rim.
It has a wonderful mid-century / Hollywood regency style to it and a good solid weight. Would work equally well as a hallway vide poche, a coffee table styling object or a very cool soap dish.
