Small French Neoclassical-style mirror in gilt wood/gesso frame.
This lovely old mirror has a beautiful worn gilt patina with gentle wear consistent with age. It features a lovely inner beading on the frame, a hallmark of neoclassical design.
The mirror plate itself has some nice foxing marks typical of older mercury or silvered glass. It is backed by a wooden back panel.
A gorgeous antique piece, likely made in the Napoleon III period of 1880-1910. Lots of appeal in its small size, aged patina and Neoclassical beaded detail.
