Art deco plant stand (sellete) or low stool (tabouret) made in France circa 1930.
The design features an inlaid marble top in a dark heavily veined grey / black marble, possibly Grand Antique or Saint Laurent variety, framed within the wooden trim.
With architectural leg joinery, the top of each straight carved leg notches smoothly into the upper apron in clean geometric stepped detail. Made in solid oak with a warm finish.
A versatile piece which could be used as a plant stand, side table for an arm chair or vanity stool.
In good condition with light surface wear consistent with age.
